The Bassenthwaite Community/Parish Plan was published in February 2014. It represented the culmination of almost 2 years work, led by a small steering group appointed by and acting on behalf of parishoners.
The production of the plan followed a wide-scale community consultation and brought together responses from a high proportion of local residents. The purpose of the plan was to represent the views of the people of Bassenthwaite about the area they live in, and formulate the actions which local residents could take to meet their aspirations.
The plan was officially launched at a public meeting in April 2014, and following that copies were distributed to all households with permanent addresses in the Parish.
The plan is now a little out of date but is still a useful reference document.
